Kling 4 vs Seedance 2.5

Kling 4 just got released, here it is compared to Seedance 2.5!

Kling 4 just got released, and it's live inside Influencer Studio. Its got a few advantages over Seedance 2.5.

Realism isn't quite as good, but its a lot cheaper.

For certain scenes, it might be preferable as well when you don't need the utmost realism.

Six same-prompt tests across different styles

Each test pairs Seedance 2.5 with Kling 4 using the exact same prompt: 8 seconds, 720p, 16:9. Every prompt stars a beautiful adult woman with her face clearly framed while she performs the scene's main action. The six styles cover sci-fi, casual UGC, a cinematic thriller, hand-drawn anime, magical realism, and stop-motion adventure.

Test 1: the gravity switch

A sci-fi shot tests whether floating objects move independently while the camera and character stay grounded.

An 8-second photorealistic sci-fi film shot, 16:9, 720p. Inside a worn orbital greenhouse, a beautiful adult woman in her early thirties with close-cropped dark curls wears a fitted olive flight suit with rolled sleeves. Frame her waist-up with a 35mm lens look; through the curved window behind her, a ringed planet fills the sky. She braces her left hand on a rail and flips a single red mechanical switch with her right. Gravity shuts off: a loose pencil and several water droplets rise slowly around her, while rooted plants remain attached to their beds. She catches the floating pencil between two fingers and smiles to herself. The camera makes a slow sideways dolly, keeping her face and catching hand visible. Amber grow lights mix with cold planetary light; realistic skin and scratched metal, physically plausible reflections. Her boots remain secured to the floor. One continuous take at normal speed. Audio: ventilation hum, switch click, then a soft electrical tone. No speech, music, text, or cuts.

Test 2: a UGC demo interrupted

Keep this one deliberately unpolished. Compare conversational lip sync and whether the product stays the same shape when a cat interrupts the demo.

An 8-second casual UGC video filmed horizontally in 16:9, 720p, with a phone propped on a kitchen counter at eye level. A beautiful adult woman in her late twenties with freckles and loosely tied brown hair wears an oversized lavender sweatshirt. Natural overcast window light, ordinary lived-in kitchen, phone-camera depth of field, slight exposure adjustment, no beauty filter or commercial color grade. She holds an unbranded palm-sized mint-green rechargeable fan beside her face, its blades safely enclosed behind a grille. Loose strands of her hair flutter in the airflow. Looking into the lens, she says in a relaxed English voice, "Tiny fan. Very serious about my personal space." During the final words, a ginger cat enters at the lower edge of frame and nudges her forearm with its head. She glances down and laughs softly without putting down the fan. Keep the fan's shape and color unchanged. One continuous static take with natural gestures and accurate speech synchronization. Quiet fan whir and room tone; no music, captions, logos, or cuts.

Test 3: the midnight train exchange

The thriller scene depends on a small, readable action. Watch the envelope transfer and how passing light changes the woman's face without changing her identity.

An 8-second cinematic espionage thriller shot, 16:9, 720p. A beautiful adult woman in her early thirties with a sleek black bob and a dark red wool coat sits beside the window of a moving sleeper train at night. Medium close-up, 50mm lens look, shallow depth of field; include her face and the small table in the frame. A sealed ivory envelope rests beneath her right palm. At the start she watches the dark window, where her faint reflection remains physically aligned with her. Without turning her head, she slides the envelope across the table toward an unseen passenger. A second person's hand enters from the opposite edge, takes the envelope, and exits. Only then does she turn her eyes toward that passenger with a restrained, suspicious expression. The camera slowly pushes closer. Warm compartment light stays constant while occasional cold station lights sweep across her face. Rich shadows, fine film grain, realistic skin and fabric. One continuous take, normal speed. Audio: train wheels and a brief scrape of paper on wood. No dialogue, music, text, or cuts.

Test 4: a paper crane becomes a dragon

Test a different visual language altogether. Compare the readability of the transformation and whether the animation keeps its drawn style through the camera move.

An 8-second hand-drawn 2D anime fantasy shot, 16:9, 720p. A beautiful adult woman, visibly around thirty, with long silver hair tied in a low ponytail wears a midnight-blue traveling coat over cream trousers. She stands on a tiled rooftop above a hillside town at dusk. Medium three-quarter view, with her face and open right palm clearly framed. A small red origami crane rests on her palm. She blows gently toward it; the crane lifts into the air and unfolds visibly along its paper creases into a tiny red paper dragon, retaining the same paper texture and color. The dragon circles her raised wrist once and settles on her shoulder. She turns her eyes toward it with an amused smile. Slow camera arc with layered background parallax; keep her face readable throughout. Clean expressive linework, cel-shaded characters, painted backgrounds, peach clouds against an indigo sky. Hair and coat hems move in the breeze, with deliberate drawn animation timing rather than live-action motion. Soft wind, crisp paper rustling, and a small bell-like chime during the transformation. No dialogue, text, cuts, photorealism, or 3D rendering.

Test 5: the rain stops at her umbrella

Magical realism puts a visible boundary on the rain. Compare the suspended droplets and whether the woman's face stays consistent through the camera move.

An 8-second photorealistic magical-realist fashion film shot, 16:9, 720p. A beautiful adult woman in her early thirties with warm brown skin and shoulder-length black curls stands in a rain-soaked courtyard wearing an emerald silk dress and ankle boots. Frame her from the knees up at a front three-quarter angle, her face clearly visible beneath a transparent dome umbrella. She slowly closes the umbrella with both hands. As its canopy folds, the raindrops within an arm's length of her stop in midair, while rain continues falling normally farther away. She raises her eyes toward the hovering droplets, then brushes one with her fingertip; only that droplet falls. Her expression shifts from concentration to a quiet smile. A slow sideways camera move reveals the suspended drops at different depths without letting them obscure her face. Cool blue evening light, warm courtyard lamps, wet stone reflections, natural skin texture and realistic silk folds. One continuous take at normal speed. Audio: rainfall and the soft click of the umbrella mechanism. No dialogue, music, text, cuts, or slow motion.

Test 6: the clockwork moth keeper

A miniature stop-motion set tests tactile materials and precise hand contact. Watch whether the moth keeps its mechanical construction as it opens its wings.

An 8-second handcrafted stop-motion adventure shot, 16:9, 720p. A beautiful adult woman character, visibly in her thirties, is rendered as an expressive sculpted puppet with an elegant face, amber glass eyes, and dark auburn hair braided over one shoulder. She wears a teal felt mechanic's jumpsuit with tiny stitched pockets. Inside a miniature clock tower workshop, she sits at a wooden bench with a palm-sized brass clockwork moth resting in front of her. Medium close-up at bench height, keeping her face and both hands clearly visible. She turns a small winding key on the moth's back once, removes her hand, and watches. The moth unfolds its two thin copper wings and flutters them without leaving the table. She leans closer with a delighted smile as warm light catches the wings. Slow camera push-in; shallow miniature depth of field, tactile clay skin, visible fabric fibers, scratched brass, softly lit gears in the background. Keep the woman recognizably adult and beautiful, with consistent facial features throughout. Deliberately stepped stop-motion movement, practical amber lighting, no glossy CGI surfaces. Audio: key winding, delicate gear ticks, and metallic wing flutter. No speech, music, text, or cuts.
